|
The Harlem was one of West Baltimore's most popular movie
houses for years. Just north of Edmondson Avenue on Gilmore Street, the
theatre was built out of a converted church. It survived well into the
1970's, and after it closed, it was once again put to church use. The building
looks great to this day, and faces Harlem Park. The Harlem was one of those
theatres that liked to advertise in local papers with large ads. |
