Pennsylvania Avenue here in Baltimore City is famous for black entertainment in town. The Royal Theatre was just up the block as was the Regent Theatre, the two larger black movie houses, both of which have been torn down. The entire area has undergone major changes, and the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue is no exception. Listed in the 1920's , the theatre has long since been torn down and apartment buildings are now the only structures in the block. ...........................
