It appears the old Avalon Theatre is one of the survivors of old movie theaters in Maryland. The theatre opened in 1921, and a listing in 1951 shows the theatre seating 620, with only the New Easton as another theatre in town at that time.  The building has been turned into a Performing Arts Center, and the theatre has also shown the adress of 35 Harrison as well.
